The Taurara 4 Wheel Drive Club is based in the Kapiti area with members as far north as Palmerston North and as far south as Wellington and a couple of loose units now in Aussie.  The club provides off-road recreation for Hard-Yakka 4wd enthusiasts who enjoy getting stuck, helping each other out of the mud and then finding more mud. The Tararua Club members have a wide variety of vehicles including the venerable Toyota 40 Series, Nissan Patrols, Suzuki's, Mitsubishi's, Range Rovers, Land Rovers and Jeep's.  We have a number of members who are active in a variety of competitive classes including National Trials, Winch Challenges and Teams recovery.
