The Taurara 4 Wheel Drive Club is based in the Kapiti area with members as far north as Palmerston North and as far south as Wellington and a couple of loose units now in Aussie.

The club provides off-road recreation for Hard-Yakka 4wd enthusiasts who enjoy getting stuck, helping each other out of the mud and then finding more mud.

The Tararua Club members have a wide variety of vehicles including the venerable Toyota 40 Series, Nissan Patrols, Suzuki's, Mitsubishi's, Range Rovers, Land Rovers and Jeep's. We have a number of members who are active in a variety of competitive classes including National Trials, Winch Challenges and Teams recovery.

If you enjoy a good day out we are happy to provide introductory trips where you can see the club in action and see if our kind of 4wd action is for you.The club meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Paraparaumu RSA at 7:30pm.
